President Eyring's Words.

Mountains To Climb (April 2012).
Key Doctrines and Principles:
Build an unshakable foundation of faith.
Hope.
Patience.
Favorite Quotes:"If we have faith in Jesus Christ, the hardest as well as the easiest times in life can be a blessing."
"It is never too late to strengthen the foundation of faith. There is always time. With faith in the Savior, you can repent and plead for forgiveness. There is someone you can forgive. There is someone you can thank. There is someone you can serve and lift. You can do it wherever you are and however alone and deserted you may feel."

"In all conditions, we can choose the right with the guidance of the Spirit. We have the gospel of Jesus Christ to shape and guide our lives if we choose it. And with prophets revealing to us our place in the plan of salvation, we can live with perfect hope and a feeling of peace. We never need to feel that we are alone or unloved in the Lord’s service because we never are. We can feel the love of God. The Savior has promised angels on our left and our right to bear us up.10 And He always keeps His word."

Why It Matters:
When we have an unshakable foundation of faith, it makes everything else in life easier. If we put our complete trust in God - he will help us. When we do everything we can in life and rely on our Heavenly Father, he notices our efforts and blesses us with endurance and strength. Many of us today are struggling to keep balance in our hectic lifestyles with work, school, family life, religious life, etc. The only way I've found to have true balance is by relying on the Lord and having Faith. When we have faith, we don't stress about the small things.

Families Under Covenant (April 2012).
Key Doctrines and Principles:
Living up to the priesthood.
Make family a priority.
Keep covenants.
Fulfill responsibilities.

Favorite Quotes:
"There is nothing that has come or will come into your family as important as the sealing blessings."
"In a conference session on April 6, 1972, President Joseph Fielding Smith gave the following counsel: “It is the will of the Lord to strengthen and preserve the family unit. We plead with fathers to take their rightful place as the head of the house. We ask mothers to sustain and support their husbands and to be lights to their children.”"

Why It Matters:
This talk was directed to the priesthood about perserving the family unit as a priesthood responsibility. It meant a lot to me to know that the family is the most important thing to our Heavenly Father. He wants us to do all we can to keep our families under covenant. The priesthood is crucial in family life. It bonds the sealing power that makes families eternal.
